Warden Message: Libya Anticipates National Day Rallies; Caution Advised

U.S. Embassy Tripoli released the following Warden Message on August 30:
This warden message alerts U.S. citizens to exercise caution and maintain vigilance in daily activities on September 1 and 2.
Large crowds are expected at celebratory events throughout the major population centers of Libya on Tuesday, September 1 and Wednesday, September 2. Due to the unusually large crowds expected, all American citizens are advised to exercise caution while traveling near downtown Tripoli, Benghazi, and other Libyan towns on September 1-2.
The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy is located in Serraj neighborhood on the connection road with Krimia neighborhood. The Chinese Ambassador’s residence is on the same road.
